Margie Woods Brown was the official photographer for the event by the SPCA of East Texas, The Bellamy Brothers and Paula Nelson Concert, to help raise awareness of the SPCA’s mission, which took place February 12, 2011.
For Margie, it was a great experience, she said “I was so happy to volunteer my time to support this relatively new SPCA in building a center to service a large area in East Texas. These people are working so hard for the animals. It was heart warming and at times very sad to hear the stories of the animals abandoned and rescued. The volunteers are their own breed, because not everyone has it in them to do such hard work, both emotionally and physically. I was awed by them all, and so happy to be there. Paula Nelson and The Belamy Brothers played at the end of the night and we ate some amazing Barbeque! All in all it was a great Texan adventure!”
