My Wedding, from the beginning…
A few years ago, I was blessed to meet the man of my dreams and best friend, Adrian. Now, I am happy to announce that we will be getting married this upcoming October!
Hello everyone, my name is Adriana, I am 24 years old and I’m here to blog about my wedding journey with all its joys and guaranteed faux pas along the way, in hopes that I can make your wedding experience a little bit easier. And to be totally honest, I thought it would also help me keep my sanity!
Mi fiancé, Adrian, and I have been together for a little over four years. We met at the All-Star Hotel at Disneyworld, not what you think, I was interning there and he was visiting his friends who happened to become my friends as well. One day, we all met up to play a game of baseball in a baseball field-shaped pool using an inflatable dolphin as a bat. Long story short, by the end of the night, I was hit in the nose by a football, which one of his friends threw thinking it would hit Adrian. That must’ve caught his attention because after leaving, Adrian called one of our mutual friends to profess his love for me, little did he know, his friend had him on speaker for the entire conversation.
His mild-mannered attitude and thoughtfulness instantly won me over on our first date and we’ve been inseperable ever since. We took a big leap and moved in together about a year and a half ago, after he proposed. I had my hesitations about it due to all of the horror stories I had heard from other couples, but it actually brought us closer together and made me love him even more.
We have three dogs together, a german-shepherd named Josie, short for Jahosofax, and two chihuahuas, named Tuesday and Kiddo. Tuesday is going on 14 years and has been with me since I was 10 years old. He’s the main cause of a lot of our fights because of his six medicines-a-day routine. However, I don’t think either of us can imagine our lives without him.
After a long 16-month engagement, due to lack of funds, we’ve finally decided to set a wedding date. We are planning the wedding in Phoenix, Az., six hours away from our home. The reason for this is because Adrian’s mother knows some people who know some people that would be willing to work with our budget and guarantee us an awesome wedding!
So now that I’ve given you a brief description about myself and my wedding plans, I hope you’ll continue to read this wedding blog leading up to our big day. With each blog entry, I’ll also include wedding tips that could possibly save you money. I’m glad to help and that I get to share my wedding journey with all of you. Wish us luck! I can’t wait until we’re finally married and I’m able to share our wedding pictures!
